Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. We work with owners of every size, from a single woodlot to an entire estate, and a small forest receives the same care and attention as a large one. Smaller owners often value most having someone who takes the time to explain the options and handle things properly.
-
You deal directly with us — Rob and Todd — the people who manage the work, not a call centre or a rotating account manager. When you call, you reach someone who knows your forest. With an owner-run business, you are a client we know personally, rather than one of many in a large portfolio
-
Two things give you confidence in the numbers. First, we are independent of all processors and exporters, so we have no reason to favour one buyer over another — we sell to whoever delivers the best result for you. Second, we work on an open-book basis: you see every dollar of revenue and every cost, with nothing hidden. Our long-standing industry relationships do the rest, securing certainty of supply and strong prices.
-
We keep this straightforward and completely transparent. Forestry can involve hidden margins and arrangements the owner never sees; we do not work that way. We operate on an open-book basis: before any work begins you will understand exactly how we are paid, and throughout the job you see every dollar of revenue and cost. The best way to understand what your forest could return, and what working with us would look like, is a free, no-obligation appraisal — get in touch and we will talk it through.
-
No — and it is easier than most people expect. We do the heavy lifting: reviewing your current arrangements, managing the handover, and getting up to speed on your forest, while keeping you informed at every step. Most owners are surprised how little they need to do. If you are not getting the service, transparency or returns you had hoped for, a no-obligation conversation costs nothing.

We are based near Rotorua and work across the Central North Island, Bay of Plenty, Waikato, King Country and Hawke's Bay. If you are not sure whether your forest is in our area, just ask — and if you are near the edge of it, it is still worth a conversation.
-
Yes. We do not handle Emissions Trading Scheme administration in-house, but we work with trusted specialists who do, coordinating the work and liaising with them on your behalf. You get expert carbon advice without having to find and manage another set of relationships. It is the same approach we take with planting or harvesting: you deal with us, and we bring in the right people for the specialist work.
-
You get personal attention and direct access to the people making the decisions. We are 100% locally owned and director-led, so there are no overseas shareholders or head-office targets shaping what happens with your forest. As the industry consolidates into large, offshore-backed operators, more owners are choosing a manager who is local, accessible, and knows their forest personally.

Get in touch for a free, no-obligation appraisal. We will talk through your forest, what you are hoping to achieve, and how we can help — no pressure, and no cost.
